I'm looking at adding a pair of these to my setup. Could someone using them what colour temp they are, please? Is it what it says in the manual?

Would be good to know If it's different on each version, too.

Thanks.

I would stick with Elinchrom, for build quality. Most studio heads put out a very similar colour of light at full power, then get warmer as power is reduced. You will get more colour variation from different brands of softbox than heads.

Thanks, Hoppy, I just want a couple of extra lights for rim/hair/background.

D-Lite Ones then? Excellent lights, amazingly small and light, the heads I actually use most. I also use speedlites sometimes for rim, as they're so small you can hide them right behind the subject's head if needs be.

See how much power you actually need. Your affection for grids on everything might make the Ones marginal at 100Ws, though bear in mind that in a studio situation (with no ambient light to worry about) raising the ISO one stop effectively doubles power.

Thanks, Hoppy :)

I like the option for grids, not 100% of the time, but you're right in that a grid chews up a lot of light.

I dared the EX150's and, sigh of relief, they are working just fine :)

Hard to say no to an Interfit kit when they cost less than a single d-lite.

Yes, exactly. they aren't very robust and I wouldn't put a heavy mod on one, but all they are like to see is a reflector. I was worried about the colour temps matching with the d-Lites, but that has been no problem.
