Yes
I was wondering what the deal is with selling your photos.

My question:

"When someone buys your photo, what exactly do they get?"

i mean do they totally have all royalties to this photograph and you are no longer permitted to use etc?

Do you send the digital image? what if you use a film style camera, what happens then because how can the customer reproduce that photo?

Lots of questions so ill just end there.

THANKS!

If you send a file you send a license with terms of use. If you send a print they can't do a thing with it.

It all depends on who you are selling it too aswell. For example selling a 'print' of one of your photos means they get that a copy of that photo and that is it. If you sell an image to someone or you get comissioned to do some work for someone then, depending on the contract, the client tends to have the copyright for the image etc. Its a bit of a tricky and complicated area.
