Clearly, both sets of photographers were useless!

Seems the official photographers thought another photographer was hired as this photographer was seen taking key photos (so the official togs didn't then take them, such as cutting the cake), then that mystery photographer disappeared after she found out she was at the wrong wedding resulting in no photos of the key moments!

Not sure why the phantom photographer was using live view mind...

"Hello mate, I didn't realise that the bride and groom had hired another photographer...."

Booking 2 photographers unusual but does happen. Happened to me in the 1960's B+G booked me Brides parents booked someone else. I left him to do the photographs. While I kept the deposit and had an afternoon off.

They didn't book two, one turned up at the wrong wedding and the official photographer let that one take the key shots :) then this other photographer disappeared when they realised they were at the wrong wedding. Leaving the b&g with half the shots they should have had (but not the important ones by all accounts).

The booked photographer letting the 'wrong' photographer take the key shots assuming they were also booked by the b&g is the worst bit for me.

And there is a couple somewhere who had no photographer turn up at all presumably!

That was my initial thought on this photographer in the article.
It wasn't until I'd read about her being overheard saying she was at the wrong wedding!
Made me wonder about the wedding she was supposed to be shooting!

That would wind me up, more so the b&g!

I ejected him (with some help from an usher) so the B&G were undisturbed... I did have several interesting words to say the least of which was "cheeky freeloading b*****d"

I suspect this photographer won't come forward - most likely they just formatted the memory card in their camera, unaware they might have been able to sell the images.

Is this another example(?) of "common sense ain't so common" on either party ~ the hired togs and the inadvertent interloper........on balance neither of which showed great insight into "what the heck is going on here...."

But having said that 'to err is human' :)

If i turned up at a site and their was another of the same trade first thing id do is go have a chat with him. Bit of professional courtesy and I'd want to make sure we both knew what area the other was covering.

Is it some unwritten rule photographers cant speak to each other??
