I mostly shoot motorsport or static car shows and would like to get out while the weathers nice to gain more experience.

I'm looking for interesting locations not around my local area. I live not far from J25 of the M1 so anywhere 30 minutes from there would be great :)

Plenty around...
East Midlands Airport & Aero Park
Kedleston Hall
Matlock Bath/Cromford/Black Rock (and plenty more as you go up the A6)
Sherwood Forrest is only a couple of junctions up the M1
Nottingham Castle
Is the Peak District a bit too far? Plenty there though.
The deer in Wollaton Park
Lots of reservoirs (Staunton Harold, Carsington etc...)
Canoeing, Kayaking & Rafting at Holme Pierpoint

That should keep you busy for a bit :D

what about Hardwick Hall, Clumber Park or Chatsworth and the Crooked Spire in Chesterfield is always worth a photo :)

Or Newstead Abbey, well worth a visit.

Calke Abbey is lovely. Plenty of other NT places.

Sawley marina is on your doorstep.
Chilwell nature reserve?
Colwick park.?
Ratcliffe on Saor power stations cooling towers, shot from the new station car park next door?
further afield theres Derbys stadium.
all the old factories towards ilkeston, if you go through sandiacre.
the old leicester royal infirmary.
bolsover castle.
and what about notts city centre.
theres some awesome old buildings about . particularly pubs.
the cattle market.
lace market.
castle.
and a few old factories near the station. and of course, the station.

I used to love Curbar Edge, before we moved back down to the south west... I know it isn't in Derbyshire (Yorkshire) but we loved Haversage and Froggat areas as well... We do still miss these... all we have now is the moors and beaches - hard life - lol
