Interesting no plates

The most memorable i've seen have been L1NUX (on a Lexus???)
I wanted to buy L1NUX back when I was enquiring about P155OFF and the one I ultimately ended up buying. I was gutted when I found out it sold, which is why I started asking about the others.

I have seen the L1NUX plate on a vehicle since when I was down in London years ago. Don't remember exactly which car it was on at the time, but it was definitely something fairly high end like a Mercedes or Lexus.

Bearing in mind you can pretty much have whatever characters you want on your plates in the US, my in-laws have JUMPHI and UP&OVR on their vehicles (they're big horse fans).

Sorry if been mentioned before.......

Things are well known for an 8 becoming a B or an L an I etc......... so what may look genuine isn't necessarily so.......

Rather interestingly at Brands Hatch once I saw a Ferrari 430 which had P1 NKD on the front buy P11 NKD on the back, but the 1's were rather close together.

Have seen FA57 CAR on a Veyron in London.

T 80NED is in Norwich on an Audi TT - or was last time I saw it.

One of the best have seen though was AMP 10N, with a Swiss identifier (CH) put just to the left of it.

AMazes me the amounts that some plates trade for....... Believe the world record is somewhere in the UAE and is several million US$ for "7" - considered a lucky number over there..........

Ran around in this for a while, was great bowling up at the pub however it did attract a bit of unwanted attention at work!:

True story a mate ( well I thought he was, the b****r!)
years ago had a Triumph Spitfire with the original plate,

CHR 151C

(CHR15 1C)

I said if he ever wanted to get shot of the car and plate let me know
the git sold it and didn't tell me !

I bet the plate is worth a bit now!

I'm looking for a cheapie/disguiser for my next car, something like.....

:D

I can afford the plate, so if anyone feels like donating the Aston.....

That will belong to Dave Pinkney who races in the BTCC Independants. He has a whole series of cars, Lambo, Aston, etc. all with similar plates

P15 AFF (Glw variant of P15 OFF) is on a Mitsubishi.
There was a pic of it (taken in Glw southside) in yesterday's Glasgow Herald.
The details tie up with a DVLA enquiry.

Thanks for that and was a BTCC meeting so makes sense. Still don't know why different plates front and back on same car though!

Saw one this evening, on a local TV aerial fitter's van : AER14L

Rocky also obviously leaves locally, as I have seen BAL80A on the M5 several times recently.

:)

I've seen THU 9 around town on a black V8 Range Rover before. Spells out 'thug' :D

James Toseland has 52 JT on an Alfa 156 Sportwagon.
and his manager (and ex Racer) Roger Burnette has R1 RBP on a BMW X5

Has JT got any others? I saw an Alfa with something like JTO5LND at Donington a couple of years back, in front of the Paddock Suites.

Locally there is a Scenic with W37 CUT, who I guess is a hairdresser?

Jut got a new car, had the choice of plates and the last 3 letters are OOF:D

I tried to get ED 01 EDJ when I bought a new car a few years ago, I would have made it up as ED01E DJ. The DVLA wouldn't let me register it as they were not issuing 01 plates!

TO52LND was owned by him I'm lead to believe, but I have seen TO53 LND on the M1 near Sheffield where his family still live, It wasn't him driving but could well have been his brother, certainly a resemblance.

If it wasn't his brother it was someone wanting to be him
