Interesting little device, range finder light meter combo.

Looks useful and convenient if you have some spare cash and don't have a decent exposure meter and don't want to carry around a seperate laser distance measure gadget. As a sideline use maybe you could also use it for measuring your rooms, patios etc if accurate.
