Now ive got a better kit i was thinking of getting insurance.
Do you insure yours? if so which insurance is good to go with?

I think anything I have is covered on my home and contents insurance - I also have cover with one of my bank accounts too.

On house insurance but check what you're covered for out of house- often no additional premium if you tell them up front you need more cover but sure they wont pay out more afterwards

I recently claimed on my household insurance having slipped on my wet kitchen floor with my camera in my hand. Camera smashed, lens snapped off the body and bits everywhere. Managed to get it back together but it wouldn't take pictures properly, lens was jammed and the body mount damaged. Household insurance had a replacement camera in my hands before 1PM the next day. I had to pay £200 excess but it saved me a fortune on a new purchase. Mind you would have been better if it hadn't happened as I wouldn't have suffered severe bruising on my arm and head where I hit the kitchen units and the tiled floor.....
