I everybody just wondering what insurance you are all with I am about to buy a 5 d mark iii already have a 7 d and 4 L lenses so need to get them insured and need some advise , many thanks Dean .

Hi and welcome to the forum first of all. Most people would advise to check with their house contents insurers, but like me with a 5D3, you'll more than likely find you're above the maximum amount for a single item.

I've got 2 policies running with Photoguard https://www.jltonline.co.uk/secure/Photohome.asp?product=Photo&promCode= 1 for myself and 1 for my wife and my policy covers around £10,000 worth for around £330 per year and it includes in vehicle cover and a voluntary excess of £250. Photoguard has got a very good reputation on here, I haven't had to make a claim yet which would be the big test of how good they are, but many others on here have claimed and given good feedback.
