Can anyone point me in the right direction for getting my camera gear insured whilst travelling overseas.

I was in this situation a few months ago. In the end I went with Glover & Howe. They seem to provide a more comprehensive cover than Photoguard (IIRC photoguard don't cover accidental damage - or loss - I can't remember which), and don't have the restrictive clauses on the theft-from-vehicle cover that PG do (i.e. thatcham approved stuff fitted to vehicle). Try camerasure too. HTH :)

have you tried speaking to your household contents insurer to see if they can help - may be cheaper than a separate policy ?
