Can anyone point me in the right direction for getting my camera gear insured whilst travelling overseas.

I was in this situation a few months ago. In the end I went with Glover & Howe. They seem to provide a more comprehensive cover than Photoguard (IIRC photoguard don't cover accidental damage - or loss - I can't remember which), and don't have the restrictive clauses on the theft-from-vehicle cover that PG do (i.e. thatcham approved stuff fitted to vehicle). Try camerasure too. HTH

have you tried speaking to your household contents insurer to see if they can help - may be cheaper than a separate policy ?
