I've been given a quote of just over £80 for 3 years insurance on my Canon 400d (and its kit lens). This would cover accidental damage as well, have no excess payment and no limits to the number of claims within those 3 years. All repairs would have to be complete within 21 days or else I can ask for a replacement. I rarely use the kit lens anymore and over the next 3 years can see myself using it less and less as my kit bag gets bigger, so basically the insurance would be on the body - so would cover damage to the senser, lcd screen etc.
Is this a good price? (if I had to claim on the house insurance, I'd have to pay the first £50 anyway).
Do you insure your bodies and lenses; whats a good price for basic kit.
