Insurance Increase!!

I've just had my renewal documents from Photoguard, the premium has gone up £30 which is a 12% increase, seems a touch excessive to me, particulalrly as I haven't made any claims. Has anyone else seen similar increases in their insurance costs?

Coincidentally I've just had my renewal quote from Photoguard and the premium has actually gone down by £4, again no claims.

Assuming you haven't moved house, your postcode may have been reclassified to a different rating district by the company.
All postcodes are under constant review and can be reclassified if the Underwriters see significant long term trends. It can also happen if the Company makes a more significant structural change to the underlying Underwriting model. This can result in the premium for some postcodes rising significantly and others postcode premiums falling.

Ring them and ask why, quite often they will give you a lower quote!
