I'm looking for someone in the insurance industry who can help me...

This is the situation. I've approached one insurance company and two brokers for quotes on our property and none have come back. Paranoid? Or maybe there is incorrect information, warning them off, put in place by a malicious neighbour who works for an insurance company.

I don't know, but as I have zero claims history, zero credit problems and zero criminal history, my thinking is that there must be a reason why nobody wants my money...

If anyone can help with this, I would appreciate a PM.

I'm not but...

First phone them and ask for a quote over the phone, this way you may find out from their responses if there is an issue.
You can request all information they hold on you under the data protection act just by writing to them.
If you believe they are misusing your data contact the information commisioner - https://ico.org.uk/

All from google ^

Garry, could you try the various "compare the market" sites and see how you get on, because I believe they work a bit differently than phoning up individual brokers.
We had this problem last year, with ridiculous quotes for me (a 59 year old guy with no points or convictions) on a 1.9 diesel from my previous insurance - £2K plus. I went online and got insured for £300.
Good luck, stick at it.

Is there something out of the ordinary about your property ?
Whenever I have asked for a quote it has normally been given immediately over the phone
but then I am talking a normal domestic property, seems odd they need to phone back

I'm hoping to trace the scource of any deliberate misinformation.

It's a farm, not an ordinary house, so perhaps a bit more complicated than some.

Is @Lynton still active/around? IIRC he works for NFU insurance.
