Guy's in case any of you are thinking of purchasing anything from this company here's my very recent experience with them.
Bought a new house last year and it has very spacious rooms so instead of normal 4+3 or 3+2 sofa's we bought a large corner suite which was stunning. It is called the Saturn and really set the room off for approximately 3 months. After that is started to bobble very badly and the dark bobbles made the light grey suite look dirty and older than it should. We called the store and explained we weren't happy with it and they said they'd send someone out to see what was going on. Some guy from an upholstery company came round and asked if we had pets on it, children on it, even slept on it basically trying to excuse the appearance and then said I can see why you're annoyed but it's not a fault just a characteristic of the material !! I waited for the response from the company which was exactly as the guy said then contacted trading standards. They have said that I should try a fabric shaver which I did and it looked great. Problem is after a few weeks back to doing this again and again. Trading standards have now said I could take court action but the fact is a judge may not side with me as it can be easily remedied. Hours of shaving a couch every few weeks p***es me right off and the attitude of this shop is also annoying. I asked if I could have it re-covered and they said no so here I am with a one year old couch looking around for a company to upholster it when it should be fine.
I had two material suites from SCS before this and have never had any issue with bobbling or pilling as they call it. I really think it's a case of them using a material that's completely unsuitable for couches and their customer service is appalling. Beware.
