I'm never very confident when it comes to installing software especially when it has something to do with an important piece of hardware, so would value your help please.
I'm installing drivers to my new printer and have a DVD with them on, but I have also downloaded a more up to date driver from the Epson web site. So do I need to install the old one on the DVD first and then the most recent one or just the most recent one.
Also, there are other pieces of software on the DVD that I want so would I be able to just add the ones I want??.....what I don't want to happen is to install the most up to date driver then I put the DVD in and find it auto runs
and overrides the new driver.
Thanks for your help
Dave

Easiest way as you want the other software is to install DVD. Remember don't connect printer until complete, then apply update as there may be updates to various parts of the software as well. If you only apply the update it will not update the software if you install this second.
Hope that clears things up for you.

Thanks for your help, from quickly looking at the installation instructions they are saying first connect the printer, then install the ink cartridges then put the DVD into the computer..... Not the other way around??
Dave
PS wlooking at it again, it is saying after turning on, install inks then connect USB or Ethernet then install DVD

If you want to print long pano's, you will find that the 3880 is restricted to 112cm as is the 3800. To overcome this I use the 'UDPS utility'.

This will only support an older version of my drivers. If you intend to use such a utility. It might be worth checking which version of driver is supported.

There is a discussion about the 3880 version of the UDPS utility on the DPREVIEW forum.

Thanks Kelvin, dpreview is my second home so will check that out.
Cheers, mate
