well I'm about ready to hit the hay now.

Yawwwwwwwn.

Well i'm up late reveiwing photo's i've been taking. Personally I find it the best time of day. How about other people? (Oh, and that must be relevant surely?)

And the thread is now moved from the Talk Photography section to a more relevant section.

:whistling:

And I was up at 6 :(

Ive had 2 hours!
It wasnt so much the busy day as the night time MSN, and far too much coffee that got me!

2 hours 45minutes for me, yet I don't feel tired at the moment, I will probably feel it tonight though.

Hepburn, until you entered the thread photography was never mentioned once which is why I suggested that it may be moved or closed after reading the following so what is your point

I wasn't looking to make a point

Far be it for me to have any input on how the forums are managed but I personally find some of those "unwanted" posts enjoyable to read and consider them all part and parcel of the community spirit here. If I see regular posts from a member I'm not interested in I can always add them to my ignore list.

As the out of focus forum says "Out of Focus Totally unrelated off topic type stuff, jokes, rants, raves..anything at all thats nothing to do with photography!"...

Life's too short for me to be really worried about this tbh. Admin will manage this site as they see fit and people will come and go. I just think diversity contributes regardless of topic or people count and we should accept the good with the bad. Either way, I do appreciate having this site available... :)

Life is too short I agree Hepburn, wouldn't it be a boring life if everyone agreed and nobody disagreed, I too enjoy the diversity of this forum and everyone is entitled to express their opinions and views within the forum rules and there will always be disagreements between members.
Looks like this thread could be a way to talk to others in the early hours without joining the IIRC? channel and I hope you have not added me to your ignore list, so we may meet up again another night .

It certainly would be. I always remember something my wise old dad told me - there's no better or worse, just difference. :)

Why do I always keep forgetting the IRC channel? Making mental note to remember it! Oh, and no, you're not on my ignore list...

We don't have any wise old men now do we? just grumpy old men like us:lol::lol::lol:

Woops I am calling you an old man now.............:exit:

Yep.
I agree.
Mainly because I get a bit of P&Q as the Mrs and baby are asleep!!

I think I might.
By bed is VERY uncomfy lately, so I may just sit here all night!

Hiya. Gonna pop outside in a few minutes and see how many 30 second exposures of a chunk of the milky way I can catch and stack. Just waiting for the street lights to go out.

Hey dude
Sounds nice.
Don't forget to show us the shots!
(Oh btw, thanks for explaining how to attach the camera to a telescope works!
I haven't got round to replying yet  )

the 450d 18-55 kit lens. Set at 18mm. If you go any longer, then at 30 seconds, you start getting star trails and the images won't stack. The camera is currently snapping 30 x 30 second frames at Arcturus (in Bootes). If Jupiter sticks his head up, I'm gonna pop the 55-250 lens on, set to 250 and grab a shot of the planet and the big 4 moons also.

Andy will do, but it'll only be 2 shots you get to see. NP, I still haven't bought the bits yet. Having some inclination issues with getting the scope out and setup. The short nights, don't start till really late (or should that read early??) for astronomical purposes.

Cool!!
I'm really VERY interested in the night sky, and especially photographing it.
I wish I had the time to learn more :bang:

I just popped in the IRC channel, all I could find there was tumbleweed & the sound of distant snoring :D

So who's having a late one tonight then?

G.
Me but not as late as last night, had to catch up this afternoon with a nap, with Toby lying on top of me when I woke up:)

For the benefit of others Toby is my dog in the avatar:D
