Insomnia.

I think I had over 3 hours of quality REM sleep.

Really enjoyed it

Just made a pot of tea and 2 fried egg sandwiches with brown sauce.....

My eldest grand daughter came down for hot milk so sorted that for her and she has gone back to bed.

Might read for a while

I think we might have mice under the kitchen floor, dog is now in our bed taking up more of it than me

Time for ultrasonic anti rodent kit? Or a cat.

I hate the little feckers.......we had them in our ceiling one time....

My 3 cats back home kill anything that dares to move around the plot.

The youngest Moggie is a rescue cat who is the tactical genius. We call him Ramius after the submarine captain in The Hunt for Red October. Very unpredictable with a penchant for Voles.... Often find the cats hunting in the fields.

The most annoying thing is waking up at 4am and not getting back to sleep - I generally go to sleep fairly quick and wake about 3am and go back to sleep till amout 6am but waking and just lying there is annoying
That's me, usually no probs falling asleep but sometimes I go through a phase were 3.30ish I awake and just cant get back to sleep. Thats what happened this morning, woke about 3.30, tried to sleep for about 90mins and just ended getting up at 5am. Had about 4 hours sleep so it will probably be enough.

That time of night.

Hannah asleep, James asleep at last. Ryan and Fiona have (after many visits) gone I think.

Karen is asleep so I'm on my tod but sleep is in order.

Not sure why the wireless printer decided to do a random print job (or a few lines on several sheets...) at 4am. Cat didn't complain after I went to switch it off and have a pee! Will have to train Mrs Nod to switch the printer off when it's not in use...

Big error.... I fell asleep too early and as I generally sleep 3 hours average it means I an b-loxed.

Been tidying my cave and had a result. I found an armour CF card case I mislaid a few weeks back so a positive. So now it's match the CD to it's case time while supping a Brandy slowly.

After sleeping reasonably well for a while, I woke at 3 this morning (or thereabouts - TV was updating but didn't actually look at the clock.) After cuddling the cat for a while, got up at 4 and made a cuppa and fed the cat. Just wish there was something productive I could be doing rather than a little surfing.

I had a doze late yesrerday evening which meant I couldn't sleep after.

Got about an hour around 4am whilst catching up on the Archers and now got a pot of tea and 3 cats demanding an early breakfast!

Try the ironing. ;)

Try the ironing. ;)

Are you available as I camnot iron ... its the one scouting badge I didn't get ;-)
... Unlimited tea or coffee.....

Ironing? On the (extremely!) rare occasions I need an ironed shirt, I get a new one out of stores. £6 from Primark and the shirt then goes into rotation with all the others. When they're too worn (usually stained by P20 sunscreen rather than worn out!) they get retired to the rag bag.

Shhhh I am trying to get my shirt ironed, I am playing the inept male card! Every £6 shirt I don't buy is £6 towards a Bigma....

22.42 .......And I am now officially awake.........1 hour and 41 minutes sleep.......

dum de dum, I'm back.... *sigh*

Welcome

I am just finishing up some soup I made earlier

Not saying that my Insomnia is getting worse but I think I have watched everything decent on Netflix......

Sigh....

I love a by-election! I've loved them for late night entertainment all my adult life! What's not to like about listening to politicians squirm to explain how their party "didn't really lose" ... :puke: ;)

eugh, I might have to start paying more attention to stuff I can record on the Sky box. Its was 3 episodes of Amazing Spaces last night. Still, at least we have the thrill of the Rochester & Strood by-election this evening...

Keeping a watching brief on that but whilst it is another pivotal moment I am in a semi disinterested mode.

There's a rather nice bar of chocolate calling me from the fridge so fighting that urge to respond....

Bored of politics after too many years following it.

I will wait till I have to man the barricades against the next governments radical diversion into their putting people through even worse hoops to jump through to use a hospital...

pffft, I don't even have a bar of chocolate to turn to. Trying to persuade someone to sod off and make a warm drink instead.

If you're fit enough to jump through hoops or man barricades you obviously don't need hospital services, do you!?:p

I am trying to get some decent light to shoot an old mining canal basin which has been derelict a long time ago (over a century I believe), which is close by.

There is renovation work started and some clearance has revealed some of the layout.

Very flat light the last 2 days. Need to get the shots before more clearance done.

Steve

If I stay awake, the ODI cricket starts between Australia and South Africa at 3.15. That stands to be good. Then later there's some motor racing to watch on TV and comedy to listen to on radio, a dismantled clutch to examine, and a rude letter to email!

good luck Steve, hope you get some good light, sounds like a fascinating place

It's part of the workings for the old Somerset coal fields.
