Here is an incredible 320GB interactive picture of london:

Can you imagine the editing and joining it took to create this picure?

Just unbelievable detail - and 48,000 shots joined together.

The first is a screen grab of a tiny portion of the pic the second a tiny portion of that screen grab showing a guy who has obviously spotted them but probably doesn't think he has been snapped from that distance.

I think the guy in the pic may have been placed there as part of the shot. I only caught the very last part of it last night but they did a segment about it on 'The One Show' last night.

might need a bit more work on it, found this in about 30 seconds of having a look

saying that it is an impressive picture(s)

Even Bentleys get cut and shut. Hang on, they forgot to shut it!!! Odd how a bloke wearing a staff T-shirt got into the shot and was looking at the camera. Have a good look round and you might find him again about 2 miles away (?on St Paul's?)

Is there a non DM link to the pic? I don't want to add to their click count!

Thank you so much for the direct link Steve.

I saw the feature on the One Show last evening and was hoping to see some mention of it here.

Been looking for the Be and found 4 truncated cars in all - 3 of them VAG Group products! (2 VWs and the Bentley) while the other is a Nissan. there's also a van but only the mid section of that is visible so rather hard to identify!

As a certain well known carpenter called to his pal - "Hey, Peter, I can see your house from up here!"

While that is impressive in principle.. it's not a 320GP image at all. It's a 360 degree pano of London, that loads up a completely separate set of images when you zoom in past a certain level.... and frankly.....

....I'm not that impressed with how well it's all been nailed together :)

Found any other glaring anomalies like that one? (Apart from the moving things that have been truncated or duplicated - like the One Show's planted mover!) If that's the only one, it's not a bad success rate - 1 glaring error in 48,000 stitches!

Loads actually. Not as bad as that one, but there are loads of badly aligned stitching examples.. just scroll around and you'll see them.

I suppose it's inevitable, but some of them are real whoppers!

Canon 7d's, 400 2.8 with 2x TC, on motorised gimbals.

They must have had a very still shooting day, the cameras were waving around a lot, when they were setting up.

In terms of alignment and stitching errors it is probably one of the worst ones I've seen there are loads of them.
