As title!

We, the Popular People's Cake Eating Front (Other Baked [Or Even Raw] Goods are available) of TP contend that CAKE (and... etc.) are good for one, even better for 2 (but I ain't sharing!) and should be enjoyed whenever possible, especially when supplied free once a month by John Lewis...

Discuss if you want to (and derail should it please you!) but I'm off to eat CAKE!

Each to his own, Nod! I don't eat cake, biscuits or bread...just dislike all of them.

Hope it's just a dislike rather than (?)Coeliac(?) disease. As you say, each to his (or her) own.

I'm baking raspberry and lemon madeleines and then bacon and quail's egg pies this morning before I go to rugby :D

My wife really enjoys baking cakes, I enjoy eating the results, it works well.
She makes the best coffee cake ever, no contest, no discussion required, just accept it from me that it is the best :-)

I feel that's rather a biased statement TBH.
I think I should PM you my address, so you can send me a (very) large sample,
purely in the interests of research & verification, you understand :D

new creation by my daughter today, marble choc chip cupcake with 2 tone(choc and vanilla) icing, very yummy.

I like baking cakes, but I don't actually like cake unless it has 50 layers of chocolate buttercream frosting.

Cookies on the other hand, I can eat forever.

MMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... Savoury cupcakes!!! (KA looks far cooler in candy blue!!!)

A local cookshop had ALL the colours (apart from the special edition pink one [for breast cancer awareness]) at significantly less than JL's price for the flat colours so we went for the jazzy blue one. Quite an investment in a mixer but it should last a few lifetimes!

I'm not going to ask if we'll be seeing that idea in your branded boxes, Sarah... ;) Have to admit that that's almost enough butter icing to satisfy even my sweet tooth. Almost! :D (Actually, there's a rather large gap along the top row of teeth... Nothing to do with sugar - they got damaged during an op. Possibly!)

T'missus occasionally indulges in baking strange recipes she finds online. The broccoli cupcakes were OK, the spinach cake was odd, the tomato ketchup cake was not good but the bacon brownies were rather good.

I prefer coffee and walnut cake but apparently that's quite boring. :(

Carrot cake is one of my favourites but that is a sweet one rather than savoury!

Just smelling a batch of Belgian buns and can still taste the raw mixture (I made 'em, I get to lick the bowl out!!!) Beefed up the original recipe with extra badness like marzipan cubes and candied cherries as well as a dash of Rakomeli. Not sure how long they last in storage - a batch only survives for 2 days here!

Cake is good - and these buns probably count as one of your 5 a day (loads of fruit and mincemeat in them).
