In pictures: Gordon Brown's last moments inside No 10

If these shots weren't taken in Downing Street and didn't feature any important people I think we'd all be saying they're a bit poo.

They all seem a bit weak to me.

What about Lichfield's photo of Mick and Bianca Jagger after their wedding...

Thats a "classic" photo but its junk quite frankly apart from the fact that only he could get that moment. Other than laughing at it, it would be in my bit bucket.

Its something I've discussed with various people at length that "fame content" lifts an average/crap photo to much greater heights, in the same way as a glamour shoot is nothing if your model is a minger (I eventually got consensus on this one on this forum on that very point).

Talking about them on Radio 5, right now.

Martin Argles says he was concentrating on doing it right...

And what do you think of these?

Some are excellent, some are very poor. In that link there are pictures that not only captured a moment but also captured it in an artistic way, with great composition. Removing those that seem to exist solely for political propaganda purposes, and those that shouldn't be there because they're rubbish and you're left with some great shots.

The Downing Street shots are all fairly bland, the ones in your link are very different and are either really good or really bad!

IMHO ;)
