Hi everyone. I´ve just bought a Canon 110d which I´m really pleased with. I just need a good sturdy bag to keep it in when I´m on the move. Any suggestions? It can be up to £80 and should look stylish.
:)

Do you mean Canon 1100d?

I've never heard of a Canon 110d, although previous poster obviously has?

No haven't either but I'm taking a stab in the dark and guessing its a standard sized dslr from the canon family

over time you will build a collection of bags, I have 3 ...

Tamrac .. small - camera only bag, but big enough for my largest body and zoom

Lowpro - shoulder day bag, big enough for largest body, plus l small selection on lenses, flash, CF/SDs and a small amount of cleaning gear

Tamrac back pack x6, big enough for a couple of bodies but small enough for hand luggage

For a simple and nice looking bag, have a look at the Tamrac Rally 4.

Can stand a shower, holds camera, a second lens and accessories. Cheap too!

Another vote for Tarmac rally 4. Unobtrusive walkabout bag and good value IMO.

My vote also goes to kata, other than my beautiful billingham we're an all kata family

None of the several LowePro bags I have has ever failed to start! My main bag is a LowePro MiniTrekker backpack and holds a D800, 12-24, 24-70,70-300, 8mm, 50mm &105mm along with spare cards, batteries, filters, cleaning kit, torch etc. Could be said to hold too much - it takes me well over the hand baggage weight allowance if I leave everything in it for the weigh-in!

I'm also very happy with my RedSnapper canvas shoulder bag (? Duo ?) which holds a few compacts and a bridge with room to spare for spare Solomons and shirt. Has a pocket in the back which keeps my netbook safe too.

http://store.lowepro.com/backpacks/fastpack-100 - was my first backpack and I loved it. compact and comfortable. Had to get rid of it due to getting bigger gear.

http://www.katabags.co.uk/3n1-33-dl-sling-backpack - this was my second backpack and I loved it even more than the first one:) lots of space, rain cover and very comfortable. Had to get rid of it due to getting bigger gear.

http://store.lowepro.com/backpacks/flipside-400-aw - my current backpack. Big enough to accommodate my 1D4 and 300mm f/2.8 + x2 extender. Comfortable and sturdy.

I also had lots of shoulder bags but my favourite was Lowepro Classified 160AW. At the moment I've got Classified Sling 220AW. Great bag and let you get access to your gear quickly.

I recently bought a Lowepro Event Messenger 250 shoulder bag for something relatively compact and discrete and it's great. I find it surprisingly sturdy and padded for a "low" cost bag. It has a chunky padded strap for comfort and it's moveable velcro innards are also seriously grippy and allow you to set up a workspace specifically for the gear you plan to carry.

I was out today with mine and inside I had my Canon 40D, 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6, 40mm f/2.8 and 50mm f/1.8. My Olympus OM1-n, Zuiko 24mm f/2.8 and Zuiko 50mm f/1.4. My Yongnuo YN-560 II, a Lomo Diana Flash+, the Canon charger, a handful of filters and gels, and my 13" Samsung laptop.

And you can pick one up for under £50 new.

I use this Lowepro Slingshot 102AW.

It fits my D7000 with 17-50mm Lens attached, plus has padded sections in the main bit for either 2 small-ish lenses, or 1 lens and a flashgun, or 1 lens and filters/cleaning equipment etc. It also has a zipped section at the top end which is big enough for me to keep my Tamron 70-300 + hood.

Also has various small zipped pockets to keep memory cards, other small lens hoods, cleaning pads/liquid etc. has a rain cover tucked away and a side strap for a standard tripod.

It does me fine for the amount of equipment I have and is a slingshot style bag designed to be twisted around from your back whilst wearing it and it acts as a good 'shelf' to change lenses or get the camera out.

Available for under £48

I still use a Kata bag. I've been into photography for seven years now and have owned a number of bags but the only one I have left is the R-103.

There may be further developments on bag technology but at the time, design, aesthetics, quality and functionality are top drawer and is made to last. I haven't considered anything else since getting it which is very unusual for me.
