I know very little about video and welcome any comments. I'm interested in taking video footage of a range of oncoming road vehicles with a final follow-through pan as they pass by purely for showing directly on a website, or via YouTube. Nothing else. I have a Canon system, so would be keen to buy something like the 650D.
I understand you have to focus manually. So, as turning the separate focus and zoom ring's at the same time on my 70-200 to keep tight framing is out, I guess the idea is to use something like a standard or wide angle lens and concentrate solely on focusing. Or have I missed something?
I've looked at pure video camera's in the £300 price bracket and they seem a good option for what I have in mind. A key additional feature will be good sound to accompany the video clips. If you know what a BSA Gold Star, a Porshe 911, and a Foden two-stroke sounds like, you will understand my needs. Thanks.
