HAs anyone bought 40D body from kerso or adani505 or 123fstop from ebay and successfully claimed cashback?

You can claim cashback on items from Kerso I believe.

I bought a 17-40 from him and claimed cashback with no problems.
 
never claimed for a camera, but got cashback on a 50mm 1.4 and 580ex11 flash off kerso without a problem
 
Got cashback on a 100-400L from Kerso no problems. There should'nt be any difference with a camera.
 
Funnily enuf, I got a conformation email this morning from canon that my cashback for my 40D from Kerso was processed and the cheque was pending.
 
I know you can claim cashback on lenses, but to camera bodies, people from other forums say, you can't. I have spoken to canon (0080022666767) and the guy sounds he's not sure. He said warranty on the camera will be honoured as long as I have a UK receipt, but then he said, the serial number (Camera) "MIGHT" not work on the webform for Cashback.

I'm really stuck now...

I've got 3 more weeks to decide...

I'v made several purchases and another today off Ian and no probs with cashback. He's very good
 
I'm pretty sure Canon have no way of telling where your kit was purchased from so if you provide them with a UK recipt, they will assume it's a UK part even if it was imported.
 
few days ago I recieved an email from cannon saying that my cashback is being processed so now I have to wait for my cheque and they are saying it should be indoors in nxt 20days....I claimed cashback for 40D that bought from Kerso :)

If a company of that size, producing goods of this expense, do not know where they are shipping exact models and serial numbers to, I would be very surprised. Especially given that everything is barcoded and tracked individually.
 
I have filled in my cashback form's and it says it needs the barcodes from the box.. just cut these out with a knife?
