Would I have to pay any import duty or extra taxes on goods bought within the EU by mail order?

There are exceptions to the above rules which the site doesn't make clear, such as if the goods are merely "In transit" through the EU.

But basically speaking, as a non commercial buyer, if you make a purchase from an legitimate business within the EU, you shouldn't have additional charges to pay.
