Images losing colour depth

Hey all,

I've been playing about eith the Pentax K10D and some macro.

To the human eye....the flower is a deep yellow like a tulip....but after the exposure the end result is a pale yellow?

I know it sounds like an easy one but I cant for the life of me figure it out?

I have played with WB & Shutter Speed to no joy.

I was shooting in a little low light. Could this be the metering mode? I think it was spot metering, or the flash could be too much?

can u not return it to how it should be in photoshop or something?

a simple boost of the saturation should do the trick?

If you were using flash, it does sound like its just the flash blowing out the colour - try using a tripod, natural light and if necessary, a slightly slower shutter speed and see if its closer to reality.

Charlie C - Yes I have played about with it. Thats the beauty of shooting RAW I guess.
