Hi Folks,

Fairly new here, so hope this is the right place to ask this question.

Off hand, what would be the suggested/recommended size of the images to upload here (to our PF's)?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Regards, Jay

The forum resizes the images if too big, but unless your posting to get specific feedback on sharpness or other critical technical things, I would be using something around 1000 pixels across or so. Little point in going bigger if you just want people to judge the image as an image. I'd only go bigger if I wanted specific feedback on fine technical details.

I do mine at 1024x768 which produces this size

Note the new grip for my camcorder ( photo for example of picture size only)

Thanks David and Bazza.

Just uploaded one at 600px on it's longest side. That should suffice for now, as I am not needing any advice on it, such as quality/sharpness etc. Just for show

Thanks for your feedback folks. Much appreciated ;)

Regards, Jay

600PX longest edge is fine (although small)
the sharpness quality is controlled by the compression and sharpness you apply after resizing.

Hi Jim,

Cheers and thanks for your feedback. Much appreciated ;)
Maybe a little small at 600px, but if I were to up that to say 1000px (My max more than likely) would there be a copyright that I could apply to my images via The Talk Photography options or would I have to add that myself via my editing software?

Regards, Jay

Add it yourself - It's not a "copyright" you add

It's a watermark
