Image sizes for zenfolio

Hi guys,

I am just going through a bit of testing on my new website, which for online customer albums i am using zenfolio.

Just playing around with it now, i am wondering if there is anything i can do to economise the files i am uploading.

With zenfolio able to auto-fulfil orders, i need to upload print ready, rather than web ready images. So at the moment i am using images exported from lightroom with no resizing at all, which is giving me files ranging from 3-7mb.

These are taking an age to load, which isn't my biggest concern. But i am worried may make navigating the site a bit slow and painful. So i was wondering if anyone might have any suggestions as to how to improve this?

The size of your file should make no difference to navigating the site.

Zenfolio automatically make a resized version of your full size one just for web display and the original is never accessed except for printing or downloading by you.

Another nice thing about Zen you may not know is that you can upload the full size ones in whatever colour space you choose for printing but when Zen do the web display ones they (not the original) are converted to srgb so they display correctly on the web, I do not know any other that does this.

Cheers. Just finished uploading a ~130 full size image album and all seems to work well. The upload time isn't really a concern.

Just need to get my head round the rest of it now.
