Image size question

This is really annoying me now. I am trying to save a picture in Lightroom with a res of 1366 x 768 but when I open it it has been sized automatically to 1152 x 768 ? I need it set at 1366 x 768 as that's the res if my laptop screen and most web sites now. What am I doing wrong?

What are your image size settings in the output dialogue box anb/or is the resize to fit box checked?.

On exporting the picture to save as jpeg, image quality is 100, colour space adobeRGB, limit file size is unchecked, resize to fit width and height W 1366 H 768 pixels. Res 300 ppi. Don't enlarge unchecked. That's about all. My laptop is a Samsung with a screen res of 1366 x 768 on landscape

Those settings are similar to mine..... that works ok.
How big are the original images?

Set the size/crop before you export, otherwise I think it stays proportional

it stays proportional - so you need to crop to those dimensions before you export. As an aside why are you exporting to aRGB for web use?

Exporting to aRGB as it has always been set on that and I'm aware I need to put it back to rgb. I will give it a go cropping as suggested. Original file is RAW format around 5k something from a canon 550d. I can't think of the dimensions off the top of my head but it has a crop ratio of 3:2 if that helps

1152 x 768 is right for 3 x 2 ratio, you'll need to crop the picture first to get it thinner without distorting it.
