I'm submitting some photos to a magazine, I've been asked to provide images that are 303mm x 406mm and a minimum of 300dpi.

Is it simply a case of altering the dimensions and dpi in Elements 6 to comply with these requirements? When I'm saving the file as a Jpeg, does it matter what the quality is on that window?

I tried saving one with the maximum quality and Elements said it was too big!

Any advice appreciated.

Well 303mm x 406mm in inches is 11.92 x 15.98.

Multiply these by 300 gives you an image resolution of 3576 x 4794!!

I think that's right! Otherwise I've been doing something wrong for a long time!!

Not necessarily, because you need to consider the aspect ratio (shape) of the picture.

The photos that come out of our cameras have an aspect ratio of 3:2. But the magazine is asking for 4:3. So you need to crop to the right shape before you worry about resizing.
