Just had an E-Mail from Image Shck that they are going to be a subscription based online photo storage site. I think they are going to loose a lot of people that use it, including me.

Hmm. I've not had any notification of that.

What are the free alternatives, other than Flikr?
 
Isn't there a file size restriction on TP galleries?

Found the email - It was in my "Spam" folder.

I think I won't bother, even at $1 a month.

It's an interesting one, I've never really has an issue with paying for hosing as they're providing a service that costs money to provide :thumbs: at some point all websites have to start paying their bills

I was given the heads up about this recently,
I don't remeber seeing an email from them though.
I think I may just about be able to stretch to $1 / month.
I started using them to drop stuff in, when flickr started arsing about awhile back.
I still like flickr but I do wish they would stop 'kin about with it!

It was 800px on the longest side and 200Kb file size.
I think it did increase a little with the new forum, but at the moment the size escapes me.

I think it is now 250kb and 1024px on the longest

I have some stuff on there, I see they've changed the site and upload and link generation systems and now it's an absolute horror to use. :(
 
photobucket is free, but restricts size to 1024px. For larger images, a subscription is required...

I liked Imageshack, and have been using them for quite a few years, but I won't be paying for hosting.

At least they are leaving images there that are already there.
 
I have just found image shack after struggling with photobucket and flikr the other day
I couldn't upload onto here with either and I've been using photobucket for years
I searched on here and found a post by bazza recommending image shack
I found it easy to use and fast and think it's worth it for $1 a month

Well that's curious ;)
I've just logged into image shack and talk about inflation!
Its now gone from $1 / month to $2 / month, in a little under 3 weeks!

Well lets see 52 / 3 = 17.33r.

If it doubles in 3 weeks, thats a rolling figure of 17.33r.....
You know what? I CBA to work it out :D
