Edit My Images
Yes
I am after a bit of advice, I normally upload my images to photobucket then copy and paste the image code and upload to the forum, simple...

But when I was uploading some images just now, I looked at them in the preview section in the TP uploader and the images were not as good and definately not as sharp as when I view them on my pc...So what does everyone else use to upload to talk photography ?

I have just uploaded some images to Flikr to see if they uploaded any better, but for the life of me I couldnt work out how to upload ( couldn't find a image code like in photobucket)...any help on this bit ?

thanks Steve.

Depends a bit on your browser, you need to find the web address (URL) of the actual image on flickr by right-clicking on the image itself.
View the larger size e.g. 1024xwhatever
You must use the whole thing commencing http not just www etc.

Edit - another thread describes the 'official' way here

If you mean downloading FROM Flickr, Flickr has many options for displaying your photos and each has the option for copying the download link in different places! You're looking for a button called SHARE. Click and there will be the URL for that particular photo.

If you really meant upload onto Flickr as I think you did, then there are big lettered links on you photostream pages called upload.... T%his will allow you to browse your own PC for the file. If you use Adobe Lightroom to manage your photos on your pc, then that can automatically upload onto Flickr if you wanted.

Thanks guys, I didn't realise that I had to have the BBcode button clicked in the share bit...now sorted, off to the motorsport section to see how they upload..

thanks again..Steve..

I prefer Photobucket, I can organise folders with sensible names rather than ending up with the heiroglyphic filenames that Flikr gives you.

I found PhotoBucket flattens out pictures more than Image Shack does, but I still use PB as a storage means for some photos.
