Image grid help in PS

I spent 3 hours last night (including some basic photo processing) putting together a grid of people for a style book. Cant show you as I am at work. It is 40cm wide by 20cm tall and I manually resized the pictures (after cropping square) using Free Transform and slotted them into place on the canvas.

There must be shortcuts to help me, I have more to do!

Not sure about Photoshop, but you could do it with a few clicks in Lightroom.

Why don't you just set the scale transform as an action with a shortcut & that way all you need to do is open the pic & hit a button & it's the right size :shrug:
Image grids can be made easier by firstly making sure that the view grid is turned on in Photoshop & selecting snap to grid for placement (grid size can be altered in preferences)
Hope that helps to streamline the workflow a bit

Have you tried the contact sheet function in Photoshop???
