Image Colours Look Different On The Forum [Please Help]

I know the fault is (likely to be) at my end and that I'm probably saving the photos wrong, but is there a procedure to follow to ensure the colours remain the same on an uploaded photo as they do in PS. I feel a bit stupid asking as I'm fairly competant with PS but this is confusing me.

I have a feeling its something to do with the colour profiles when I'm saving in PS. I vaguely remember being told once that it was to do with the proof colours Mac, Windows and Monitor, unfortunately I've forgotten entirely which does what.

Just incase anyone was curious as to how they differ on the forum, they tend to be alot brighter, oh and I forgot to mention this was when using the inbuilt gallery.

I would be very grateful if anybody could spare a few minutes to point me towards a tutorial, or offer me some advice, so that I can upload my pictures correctly.

yep, sounds like your profile is wrong.

in photoshop (in windows, at least)... go edit > convert to profile and select the srgb profile. this will make the pictures display correctly in your browser.
