Imac models for editing / business

I use a standard drive on my 27" Mac. It works perfectly well and with sufficient speed to do the job well.
Im sure the faster drive may be a 'nice to have' but its certainly not a dealbreaker and I certainly have never regretted it.

I was going to upgrade to fusion but even the rep in the apple store said not worth the money, better spent on ram! Have to say standard is plenty fast enough

You could say that apple make more markup on memory.. ;)

e: I should add that it depends on what you are doing as to whether ram will speed up the system.

Interesting. Complete opposite to the advice I got when visiting my local Apple store.

I researched on line and the Fusion showed an all round improvement in every day use. Only better option was the SSD but that came with a bigger mortgage :D

Thanks all for the help .

Finally decided this weekend and purchased a 27inch Imac
27-inch iMac 3.2GHz quad-core Intel Core i5
27-inch (diagonal) LED-backlit display with IPS technology; 2560x1440 resolution
