So im going to have a go with the Fuji xt2 so ill be getting rid of my abundance of Canon gear to help fund it, so im going for 2 bodies and 3 lenses, for weddings and personal use what do you guys think for a good selection from the Fuji range? :)

What you selling? ;)

Why is everyone moving to Fuji on here have I missed something?

All the primes are great, you'll probably get good use out of one of the 56mm f1.2's, the 35 f1.4 and a wider prime. Also the XF16-55 f2.8 is a cracker. I have the 18-55 kit lens, the 35mm f1.2 and the 16mm f1.2.

I have an X-T2 on order, just waiting for it to arrive...

If your shooting weddings surely you know what kit you will need to replicate your current setup?

Have you taken a Fuji to a wedding and tried it out to ensure you can still deliver the same standard style and consistency? It would be very brace to go for a straight cut over!

Dont think you have missed anything, just lightening the load and fancy a change! Im selling all but one body and lens! thanks Jeister ill take a look, a1ex2001 of course i was after an idea what other users are finding good lenes in the x range and though here maybe was a good place to ask! i.e Canon have good and not so good lenses im sure fuji do to so why not ask? :) im going to slip one in as the 2nd camera and integrate it from there!

1.2? Am I missing something here :D

XF lens wise, XF14 or XF16 -- XF18 -- XF23 -- XF35 (a must buy) -- XF56 (as must buy) -- XF50-140

You won't go wrong with any of the quality Fuji XF glass to be honest.

The 35 1.4 is a bit clunky and I don't really get the hype with it. The f2 is great though.

I would fully recommend 23, 35 1.4, 56, 50-140, 18-55.

I would suggest try before you buy on 18mm and 60mm.

I was pondering on heading in the mirror-less/more compact direction at one point too. I bought a Fuji X100s to test the waters. Any time I brought that solo out and about, I still wished I had the dslr with me. But, that's personal preference obviously, and that model didn't have inter-changeable lenses. The only reason or advantage is size IMO. You will almost always get better end results with more patience and a dslr. Nice back up systems though for pros. I'd love the money to have both, but I don't, so it's dslr or die for me. Good luck on the switch though :)

Seriously ? I don't find it clunky at all, it's fitted to my X-T1 as standard. When the T2 arrives it will probably be fitted to that with the 16mm f1.4 on the T1.

Yeah jittery when focusing. I'd really like to see fuji update their top line primes with some 1.2 goodness also.

I don't think that's going to happen, they seem to be moving more towards more compact, WR primes. I agree with your comment on the 35mm F1.4, nice images, but way too rattly and hunts too much for focus. The F2 is a great lens.As is the much maligned 60mm I love that lens.

I changed (away from a Canon 5D to MFT and then added Sony A7) for the saving in bulk and weight but now that I've been using CSC's for a few years I think that there are other very valid reasons to change from DSLR's so I'll try and list them...

1 - WYSIWYG. No more chimping and reshooting, see No.2.
2 - The in view exposure, dof and focusing aids, you get the shot right first time much much more easily and more often.
3 - The focus accuracy. No MA and no DSLR variability from shot to shot, focus is just bang on pretty much every time and all the time.
4 - The lenses are often sharper than DSLR lenses at wide apertures and even when wide open.
5 - A CSC is much easier for using manual lenses on, if manual lenses float your boat.

Even if there were no bulk and weight savings I'd still have moved away from Canon if I'd realised the advantages but I think you have to try the gear to see if the advantages work for you. For what I use a camera for my CSC's are far superior to any DSLR I've had and more enjoyable to use too.

Fuji seem to be getting all the love but I think that anyone moving to a CSC should at least take a look at the FF Sony A7 series or maybe even the APS-C A6xxx series. My first generation A7 is the best camera I've ever used and the image quality is outstanding, it's very compact too with my 35mm f2.8 or 55mm f1.8.

There's always MFT too for the maximum saving in bulk and weight and surprisingly good image quality up to high ISO's.

Thanks for taking the time guys, lots of ideas, ive got a test drive with opportunity to buy on Monday due to to a pre sale not being fulfilled, they also have a 34mm F2 and 18mm-130mm secondhand in stock so that maybe a good starting point! thanks again! :)

Well took the plunge, its bit of a transition but its making me think more about what im doing as opposed to being on auto pilot, plenty of pleasing images which is the main thing! :)
