I am in need of a new PC and I want something powerful enough to easily handle a lot of photo processing using LR & PS. I have had a look on PC Specialist and come up with the following spec which would come in at £840 inc VAT & delivery.

One thing i would say is your 1st hard drive 240GB KINGSTON V300 SSD, SATA 6 Gb (450MB/R, 450MB/W),is fine for running your OS & programs, but you might need more space for backing up your files, maybe 2/3rd hard drive 2 TB :)

(Add in a USB backup drive if one isn't already being used)

I think if anything it's a little OTT (hydro cooler isn't really necessary), but it shouldn't leave you wanting more for a while.

Thanks for the replies. I already have a 6tb RAID NAS backup and 2tb NAS so storage isn't a problem. As for it being ott, that's kind of what I was going for. I'd rather spend a little extra on having a system that's too good in the hope that it lasts longer.

I am going through the same thing at the moment but I am looking at the Samsung 840pro or the OCZ Vector SSD's, they are faster than the Kingston and have 5 year rather than 3 year warranties
