Yes
I've heard of various people being spotted on Google Steet View, but I've never before heard of anyone being able to identify themselves on Google Earth, i.e. the overhead imagery.

And yet here I am:

That's my house, photographed around lunchtime at a weekend. And that's me on the patio at the back of the house, wearing a white T shirt (which is what I basically live in).

Has anyone else seen themselves on Google Earth?

Thats pretty cool!

I saw the google car come round my street, so I stood outside waving whilst it went past.. so just waiting for my town to be added :p

James

I can tell the exact day they did the road outside my mate's garage as I can see my car inside getting it's MOT done

Who is that young women sat on your knee. Wasn't you wife at work at the time :D:D:D:D:D:D

my freind yaxley is on the norwich UK map on the high street, pushing his bike along on the pavement :)

The google car came down our road about a year ago and we still don't have street view on the maps i guess we were deemed too boring to be noted.
The satellite picture was taken over 3 yrs ago, my old car is parked outside
and we still have a lawn rather than the deck. I wonder how long it takes google to upload the images from the car or will i never have my moment of fame

google earth of my place shows that my car isn't parked there - so probably a workday. Although there's someone in - as my beachtowel is laid out - so my 'workshy' flatmate must have been getting himself a beer!!!!!

A friend has a business in Ozz, has been on street view for a while, but for some reason all the photos along the street seem to have been taken at the same time, then there are 1 or 2 (bearing in mind the pics are only 20 yards apart) taken on a completely different time/day, then back to the the first day again.

All of the pics are taken during working hours on a sunny day, except for those one or two which are taken on a very cloudy day when his business was closed.

No idea why. Surely if there was a technical hitch they wouldn`t return to re-take a couple of shots. Who knows.

Sometimes if you follw a route on street view there are points you notice date/time line changes, normally most noticeable when you turn left or right at major jucntions. You may go from a dry sunny day, then suddenly the road is wet.

Yes, but not normally back again a couple of shots later.

as you suggest there may have been a glitch in the recording or some other anomaly which meant they went back..

I'm in two places at once!

Well, kind of. I'm at home, but I'm also walking between my workshop & van nearby.

I guess they must have taken the pictures on different days........or maybe......oh no, that's too terrifying to think of! :)

Anyway, who knows how many places you could be at once, get checking.

oh I have so much to do...... and now im loading street view :-(

Michael.

Hey guys, let's try to keep it in on topic...
