I'm now in the 4GHz club

its annoying because its only the esata port thats screwed.. but the warranty runs out in 7 days

typical and you wouldn't have known about it if you didn't need to use the e-SATA port, meaning it would have run out of warranty

I really need to get a new eSATA cable actually - my PC has 3 eSATA's - two are on a Gigabyte controller and one plugs into the Intel controller. When my WD Mybook Home is on eSATA it randomly disconnects. Its unlikely to be the ports as it does it on both controllers, the drive seems fine on USB and FW, so logically it must be the cable.

put it in satuday in fact.. had to do a complete reinstall, even though it was the same board it was a slightly different revision. BSOD fest lol

nightmare, hopefully you backed up documents a photographs ect

good to here you got it running.

mine's due for a coolant change at the beginning of the year

:)

everything is stored on my NAS luckily, lightroom backs itself up every time i use it too..

might of lost a couple of low res exports on the desktop but thats no biggy.

thats a good back up plan,

I use a bank on external HDDs and a file/print server

The Asus website is running slow, 24hrs to download a driver update
