Hi all, just got my shiny new Nikon D90 and eager to learn. Seems to be lots of info and good advice on here so will be coming back often...currentely working my way through the instruction manual and going on a course in Swansea soon that my wife bought me for Christmas.
Oh, BTW I'm from Chorley

when i bought my D40 - the owners manual was rubbish....printed in grey text !
have a look at "Nikon D90 Digital Field Guide (Paperback)" at Amazon Books <£10
well worth it ..............

Yardbent - theres a lot of info in the user manual but not a lot of examples.
Just looked at the book you recommended - and noticed "the D90 companion" and "D90 for dummies" - would you recommend the field guide over these? cheers

A little daunting at times there are some top snappers on here with pictures that will blow you away!! The good thing is though they are all willing to answere a New persons questions - even mine:bonk:

BTW ...where does "yoshimi" come from ?

sounds Japanese - I spent time there over 5 years in Tokyo, Ako and Kyoto

I'm just a Flaming Lips fan really:)
