My football team AFC Wimbledon have been invited to play a friendly against Corinthian Casuals FC to celebrate their 125th anniversary at the new Wembley stadium.

For any footy fan to see your team at Wembley is a dream!

I thought I'd take a few pics of this momentous day. Done some research on the Wembley website and you can't take professional cameras. So that rules out the Nikon D70 I assume!

So I'll take my 9 megapixel Fuji F47fd digital compact.

Any tips for photographing at Wembley and thoughts on types of shots I should be thinking of?

Make the most of it ... It may be the last time they get there in your lifetime .... :D

Take some shots of the crowd .... Always think crowd shots are overlooked but can be quite colourful and emotive.

We support Arsenal and when the kids were little the team always used to play their European cup matches at the old Wembley stadium with the 2 towers... that way the tickets were affordable for us.

Was magic being there............enjoy your day.

Went to Wembley for the England match in Feb......Words escape me...

It says no pro camera's but there was a chat there quite happily taking pictures on a bridge(not that a bridge is pro)...I wanted to take my camera but i'm kind of glad I didn't because just being there was...well...i'm speechless...

Enjoy your day...

might be worth asking your team if they would like you to take some good shots for them.
you might be able to get some kind of media pass and be able to take your camera into the ground no problems

I took my camera (400D with a cheopo 80-200) in for the charity shield nobody said anything did not get searched or asked what was in my bag or anything:woot:

I went to the old Wembley when Kingstonians played Forest Green in the FA Vase cup final.

Was a bloody good fun day. Blimey, that was a while back. The K`s have somewhat plummetedsince then.

I went to Wembley to see Muse last summer, although I didn't take a camera myself (something I now regret) I saw plenty of people knocking around with dSLRs and 70-300mm lenses!

thought i would post these they are not good pics by far but it just showing *** i did manage to take i did get a lot more but trying to watch the game and taking pics when your in the crowd is not easy hope it helps:woot:

Can't you just make one of those tabbards the media togs wear, i'm sure no one would even bat an eyelid if you blagged your way to the front.

There was that guy who dressed in a ManU kit and managed to get onto the pitch and get his mug in the official team photo, what was his name now, he's done a couple of other stunts like that too?

I think they have to see a press accred pass as well from what I saw on website.

I'll be with friends anyway.

That was the FA Trophy Final, I was in the Olympic Gallery.

That shadow would make life very difficult

Actually it wasn't as bad as it looks, but I did keep most of my shots to the left of it.

As an additional note, I possibly didn't have a problem getting in with my camera as security were too busy confiscated a 6 year old's toys as they could have been used as projectiles!
