Been a pro for 16 years on my own and worked with a pro for 5 years learning before that. And I can tell you it spoils the hobby side of photography for me, by the end of 2007 I would have done 182 Weddings as well as other work, and I am getting sick of picking up my camera. I need a rest, it's like this every year now. I dont get much chance to just go out and enjoy taking pictures anymore.

I was lucky enough to turn my hobbie into my job the money is not as good but every day I go to work I think how lucky I am to do something I love.

good luck hope it goes well

If you enjoy what you are doing and making enough to live on you have got it made. I was in a well paid job but absolutely hated it, my wife was climbing the heights in her profession and she decided that as soon as we could manage on one wage I was to retire (I did not disagree :) ). It was the best decision we ever made.
The point I am making is money is not everything, quality of life is and we had a much better quality of life on one wage than we ever had on two.
She is now retired and we live comfortably on her pension, I have to wait a while before I get mine.

Hope I have made my point, without rambling on too much:gag:

Do you want symapthy?? :cuckoo: (Im only messing btw..)

I work as a Tube Train Driver.. the thought of being able to goto work doing something that takes a working brain make my dribble like a baby.. i love the whole industry.. i worked in a lab developing C41 and E6, id still be there if the money was enough to live on! im not a great tog now but i wil be and when im goof enough to earn money from it i'll be stoked.. i dont just like taking pictures, im genuinly interested in the whole process of imaging.. i like playing with toys like any other bloke too.. Anyway, i get what you're trying to say and appreciate the sentiment.. Iv had the last 10 years being stuck underground so even if it were as difficult as people say on here, then i'll still be happy because it'll be better than wasting away mentaly in a damp dark tunnel...

Btw, best of luck Peter.. it'll sort itself out at the end of the day m8.. try not to let it get you down too much..
