-6 outside when I got up this morning to go scrape the car

wiper blade decides to detach itself from the arm on the way through to work, meaning I had to stop about 5 times to clear the snow from the windscreen and put the rubber back into the arm. Wet arse from having to sit on wet snow.

Then I get in here and my colleague had the heating switched off over the holiday.

I can't feel my feet or hands :razz:

I don't know how cold it is outside but i've got my heating on and I'm still freezing, my feet feel like blocks of ice :(

I want to go bk to Cyprus...........never thought i'd say that, lol

ive got the heating thermostat on up to about 70 degrees here. Kids keep leaving the living room door open and i can feel the cold from the hall :(
 
I always use water to clear frost from the car at home. Just off cold not hot or even lukewarm. One or two watering can fulls usually does it. Need to run it over the windows after the frost is gone for a while then it does not re-freeze when you drive off. Cleared frozen on snow that way too but it took 6 cans to do it!

Aye, when its bad these days I opt for the car, but for a good 20 years i'd brave any weather.
 
Hi,

is that all, it was -11 with us yesterday morning, so my dad and I went and had a wander round a few locations with the camera and it was a bit chilly, it made my eyes water a bit :p

I used to do that until I ended up with ice all round the car one year as the water landed on the ground, last week I put the gazebo cover over the car and that protected it quite nicely.
 
when I lived in Boddam, (32 miles above Aberdeen), it hit -17c and my hubby was on Gaurd duty, hehe he froze his ass off while I was toasty in the house :), it did get really cold there but in the Valleys of Wales its a damp cold not a fresh cold that you feel :(

Funny thing is for the last week (yes, Christmas day too :p ) I have been working outside and haven't felt the cold once, or not much anyway. Now I'm back to the office I'm just sitting here, nothing getting the circulation going :(
 
HINT

do not turn wipers on till blades are unfrozen from window...:bonk:

busted wiper arm mechanism --- £120 complete new mechanism ----Merry Christmas .....:annoyed:

raise wipers off screen overnight...:thumbs:

Dropped the car off at the local Honda dealer for a problem, realised I forgot my mobile and don't know any numbers(wife in bed, do not disturb) so walked home about 6 miles :bonk: not that cold in Doncaster.
 
Gor, it's flipping freezing up North, feel sorry for you lot...it's raining down here on Shoreham Beach right now, but at least it's not freezing cold.....
 
staying with relatives their boiler broke last night and they are on a hill of black ice so we are 'iced in'.
 
-12degs in the mill this morning & I was sweating! Not for long though, sawlogs all frozen & forklift would not start. Came home & did some bookwork.:gag:

As already pointed out some of us work out-side what ever the weather

I work outside too, but i find its the wet (rain snow, or sweat) that gets you more then the cold once you get wet and cold its hard to warm back up.
 
well, the day was interesting too.

Needed to get a new bulb as well so managed to get the car into the garage, they also did the wiper. I know, I could have done them but also knew I wasn't going to get the time so there went £59 in total.

Next, up to the PO to post out a lens. ABout 50 in the queue and three staff. 45 minutes later I popped round to Jessops to pick up the flash I'd ordered. Now they had a situation I'll not go into just in case someone reads this :lol: but half an hour later I managed to buy it :)

Then, realised I hadn't got the wife a birthday card, just after I'd left the carpark, back in, another £1.50. Get card, back to carpark, hold the door open for a woman who didn't bother to say thanks and something went dashing past my face. Looked down and a bloody seagulll had **** on my trousers :bang:

Sir I salute you, you your day has been harder than mine. After picking up my car I went up to my brother in law's(20 yards) and watched a few DVD's and consumed a large amount of lager/spirits.

That probably was Andy form our village Dod ,he's always on his bike come hale or snow..:D
 
Me and TrevDr went up to Highland wildlife park yestarday and it was -13 all the way there didnt get any warmer until we were about to leave
