I've just spent an hour with a rocket blower cleaning my lens and cleaning my sensor after spotting the mark in the below pic (outlined by the black star, pic levels boosted to show it)
After seeing it on a print I did earlier.
No matter what I did it was still there when I re took the shot.
Of course dipstick here didn't stop to think that the mark might be on the window behind the plant and not on the lens or sensor!!:bonk:
I've learnt my lesson there, look for the simple explanation before leaping into more work than is needed.

Yup +1 I have done this too - bird deposit on the window I was shooting through. After 5 attempts of cleaning someone pointed it out :bonk:
