How many did you need to watch to get the full adverse reaction?

I do seem to remember a series of Windows adverts that could never quite find a Mac that would do the same functions for the price of a PC. If I also remember correctly, they were found to be as 'fictional' as the Mac ads are.

Who really cares what brand or make of PC we all use?

This has probably been raised before, but surely a Mac is a PC? A PC is a personal computer, that is, regardless of OS. It all seems rather contrived on the whole.

No you're a PC;), however you run OSX instead of Windows or Linux.:lol:


As for the adverts I can't watch them as you need to install Apples proprietary video software, however I assume they are as condecending as all their other adverts...

Mitchell and Webb did the original Mac campaign like this over here but that was yonks ago.
 
These ads are getting stale now...

I also love how they bash Windows in the ads but make such a big point of being able to run it on their computers elsewhere.

BTW, I've got a Mac Pro so I'm not biased towards either platform. Both have their pros and cons.

There is no such thing as bad publicity and these ads have been noticed. Job done.

It does subconsciously find a little corner of your brain which you read as fact to others but you don't recall where you heard it.

And you will never win anyone over with 'feature sets'. That would be very tedious.

Finding reasons to be better is more about the feelings towards the product, company and image.

I think all in all, that is probably the best they can achieve. I am not impressed with the 'I invented windows 7' (or whatever it is). That just seems like reasons to buy any computer.

go "back" to what ? a piece of equipment with the same hardware, but a different OS ?

cant see how that's going "back", or even that moving to a different hardware manufacturer can be classed as going "forward".

if anything you've gone from being in one place, to being in exactly the same place, just with a different logo. and with less money in your pocket.
 
MAC's are ridiculously over priced, if you really do feel brainwashed enough to go MAC, at least buy your own parts and buy the MAC software seperately.

Like for life the hardware in a MAC is ~2 times more expensive than it should be.

..... human who can't be 'branded' however much manufacturers throw money at trying to make people believe I can.

It's a computer for chrissakes!

I wasn't, but you have to look at the WIndows/Sugababes video, it's hilariously terrible :eek::lol:
