My shopping list is

Canon 7D body
BG-E7 grip
2 extra batteries
2 Sandisc CF cards 8gb UDMA
EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM plus hood
EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM plus hood
EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM plus hood
Gitzo CF3541LS tripod
Kirk King Cobra gimbal head and lens plate

All bought from Jessops (except the tripod and gimbal head which is coming from Warehouse Express). Jessops matched all the best prices I found on CameraPriceBuster so I'm glad I had the opportunity to put my hard earned into the local economy and keep Jessops going (hopefully)

roll on Friday if the delivery lorries can get through
 
I'd be excited about that package turning up! That's one hell of a purchase, enjoy. :)

Good move going from 450 to 7. I did the jump. Give yourself 3-4 weeks to learn the camera properly, then you'll proper love it!!
 
after looking at ** Flickr i think you deserve it all ... all the best with the new equipments m8..
 
I'm especially jealous of the 100-400mm! If I could get my hands on one of those I think I'd have all the lenses I'd need! Well, apart from the 50mm f1.4. Oh and the Sigma 10-22mm. The Canon 180mm Macro looks good too... :thinking:

It's going to be a good weekend if you get it all delivered on Friday. :cool:

Just a quick note though - you'll need the "Canon Macrolite Adapter 67" for the above macro lens if you want to mount the MR-14 ring flash on it.

Haven't been able to use my new flash properly yet for this reason! :bang:

It's an awesome lens, have fun :thumbs:
 
A nice order indeed. Just a note on the "plus hood". These lenses all come with a hood as standard....did you order the hoods separately?,,,if you did, you'll end up with two of each.

I was thinking about a ring flash... maybe next month, so thanks for the tip

I've offered to carry a few bags back to the office for Nigel (we work at the same company), which is about as close as I'll get to this level of gear for a while.
 
I hope Jessops don't go broke before your stuff gets delivered, I would only buy something they actually had, and I could walk out with personally.
 
Nice, I have heard that all deliveries to MK on Friday have been delaid for 1 week.:lol: In all seriousness, that is one hell of a set up, ring flash or a decent macro flash are lovely, I got mine a few weeks ago and am having fun with it.

Enjoy. Without wishing to be nosey, what price did you pay for the 7D? Might need to earn some brownie points and buy one to replace my wife's 10D. Then I can look at changing my 1D Mk IIN for a Mk IV!

2 extra batteries? perhaps 3 would be better. 2 in the grip and a fresh set.
Great set up though. You're gonna love that 7
 
im a nikon man but i must admit the list did make me drool a bit. and for that i think you sir deserve a slap!:thumbs::runaway:

Ive got no excuses when this lot arrives..... cant blame my kit anymore :
The tripod and gimbal arrive tomorrow. The plate is on backorder from Warehouse Express :bang:

The Jessops gear except the 100 Macro and BG-E7 grip is coming from their warehouse and wont be with me till Tuesday. The Macro and grip will be with me in 2 weeks or so

At least I have some kit to be getting on with while I wait to try out the gimbal head..... like getting the hang of the 7D for starters

How on earth did you get hold of my "to buy" list of camera gear?
I mean seriously that is EVERYTHING that is on my list, except for the 100-400 and 100 macro since I have to be realistic about what I can buy in one go. I could technically get the 7D now but I want that feeling of seeing ALL the stuff together and opening it all up like a crazy hyped-up child on tons of sugar!

Let's hope there aren't price rises from Canon between now and May (which there are going to be supposedly :bang: )

Enjoy it all and get some pics up quicksmart!

you must have robed a bank! jumping from 450D to 7D and the rest of the stuff in your list. Your choice of equipment is excelent I must say!
 
The Gitzo and the King Cobra gimbal have arrived woooo hoooo

OMG tha Gitzo is sex on legs!! :love::love:

And the gimbal head is H......U.....G.....E !! I didnt realise how big it is (ooo err missus!)
 
i would cancel the 7D & get a 5D2 instead....but that's just me
