Yes
Pentax 6x7 that is ;)

Out of curiosity I thought I would post this as I see very little in the way of reference to the Mighty Pentax 6x7 cameras any more :(

Does anyone own a 67 with any additional lenses or are they a thing of the past now ?

Lord Lichfield , David Bailey and a few others all owned and used these wonderful cameras :)

Never had one but gotta confess i wouldn't mind adding one to my collection.....omg I feel GAS coming on!! lol

Presumably you have one....do you get much use out of it or is t too darned heavy to lug around?!!:D

Yes I have a 6x7 MK2 with several finders and lenses

I don't mind the weight when I go out with medium format in mind I only take the 67 and leave everything else at home

will do some photos tomorrow ;)

I would love to try shooting with one, but the additional weight over most 6x6 cameras put me off actually purchasing one. Still that intrigue to try though, especially as I am a big fan of Pentax SLRs of yesteryear (and the 6x7 is one on steroids).

Thing of the past......yesteryear ???

this is the film forum, the 67 uses film and thus is bang up to date, the here and now, if it wasn't so rare, everybody would have one..:)

Yep I have a Pentax 67 and was using last weekend doing some candids at a Steam fair near us.

I only have the 105mm lens at the moment but I thinking about getting either a 200mm or 300mm one very soon. Would like a 400mm but they are rare and the 500mm ones are to expensive for the limited use it would get.

Why?

Well Oulton Park Gold Cup event is on at the end of the month so may attempt to do some motor racing pictures with it :D :cuckoo:

I have a 67II as well, is my main camera at the moment. Love it, have the 55, 105, 165 and 200 lenses. I think I might get a 75 and 135 in the future.

I have a 6x7 MLU :) I love it. I only have the 90mm 2.8 and will eventually get a 55, but for the moment I'm happy with just the one lens. I only tend to use lenses with a similar field of view as the 90 on my other cameras anyway so why not better the devil you know!

Whats the shortest you can get away with at Oulton park Knikki

I borrowed one for a while with the 105 lens and just couldn't get on with it. I only had the waist level finder and no prism which may have helped but despite wanting to love it I just couldn't (my spotmatics and MX were both great).

HMMM! In 35mm terms I think 200mm on some of the corners so I guess on 67 it will be at least double that to get the same kind of image size on the larger neg?

A camera with a wooden grip does poke at the part of me that loves unusual-looking cameras. The price tag swiftly douses that, however! :P

As promised here is my 67 MK11

I have kept the boxes from when I purchased this new ;)

Well there is one post, but where are YOURS and THEIRS.

Any chance of seeing some photos taken with this?

....or is it a new toy you haven't tried out yet?

Heather

I think I can see where this is going

My comments and edit on your image ?

Your comments about me on the lighthouse image

" I notice that Higgeh has "no editing" activated which may be an oversight, but should still be respected."

WHOA there tiger, seems the toys are out of the pram at the moment.

Sorry if I touched a nerve, didn't realise you had a sensitive side.

Actually, this was a genuine enquiry as I am fairly new to the film side of the forum and am interested in seeing the results from the various cameras that are shown here. You are obviously very proud of it, and having discovered medium format through 6x6 and a 55yr old camera I would like to see the differences the6x7 modern camera makes.

However if you don't wish to post any of your pictures I will entirely understand. ;)

I'm pretty sure the mention of your Pentax 6 x 7 being a "New Toy" related more to how many of us in F&C post our newly acquired ( usually 2nd hand, vintage etc etc) film related goodies ( cameras etc) here

"Toy" can be defined as......"an object, especially a gadget or machine, regarded as providing amusement for an adult" as seen here

Well there is one post, but where are YOURS and THEIRS.

THEIRS have yet to post any pictures of their 6x7s.

Where are they then? :lol::lol::lol:

Come on Nick, Wilson and Jak we are waiting!

Hmm, the OP already posted one of a 67II which is the same as mine.

Here's one taken with the 165mm.

As requested! An old, 'slightly' worn 6x7 MLU, with a metered prism that occasionally meters upside down, but more often than not doesn't work at all... Need to get it looked at. I must admit I don't usually sport the handle, I prefer a strap instead, but it definitely looks nicer with the handle ;)

And a portrait on new Portra 400.

Thanks everyone, the camera looks terrible (to me!!!) but the shots are wonderful!

Well if you see someone traipsing around Kenilworth in the next few months with a camera bigger than their head, come say hello cos it'll be me with that thing haha.

Definitely would, no doubt I'll even say admiring things when I see it (and you carrying it) in the flesh!

Interesting but you should check out the review of the Pentax 800mm ED IF

ANd if your really interested here is a review from the same site of the Pentax 600mm
