Are you a 'P' person?

Or are you drawn more towards 'M'?

Or maybe 'S' (Tv) or 'A' (Av)?

Pray tell :)

I'm an 'M' person most of the time, have had a little play with 'A' but prefer 'M'

M for me used be P but I felt that I wasn't getting the most out my camera so done a bit more reading and research now pretty much always use M.

Sean

I use M nearly all the time now, well i hate Av now anyways GRR

I'm pretty much always Av

I don't think I've ever P'd

I try to use M as much as I can don't think I've ever used P to be honest.

I'm an AV person 90% of the time, as i've usually got the nifty out to play. I'm slowly becoming an M person more and more, as I find shots that I want that the camera just doesn't pull-off.

Being a n00b, I find that 'P' is a safe hiding place

But I fully intend to explore the mysteries of 'M' :)

Anyway, I'm off to bed. 5am start tomorrow :(

Toodle-pip!

always M ever since I found out I could on my little P&S a75

AV when the camera is in my hands green box when the better half has it!

Never used P.

I tend to use Av, but am trying to switch to M... I don't know why... I just feel I should?

Trying very hard to stop P-ing :D:D and trying to get to grips with Av :bang:

its P for me . its a good place to start and i can always go to M if i want to be more in control .

TV mostly (i don't like to waste light) but increasingly often M...

Always 'M' when at parties at night and using flash, just get such good results, other times it varies, often 'AV' sometimes 'TV' and sometimes but rarely now I use 'P' still learning though and everyday is a schoolday - remember though folks, think about it all, 'P' is not always the easy option, only you know what you want the shot to come out like, 'P' won't capture that motion blur on a racing cars wheel, not will it twig that you need to get that fast Jet ;)

Generally P, sometimes Av, Sometimes Tv depending on what I'm shooting, and at night for Astro, it has to be M

Never ever used P, i started using Tv as soon as got a DSLR then within about 3months started using M, now its very rare i use anything other M, if i do then its generally Tv.

I use Manual 99.9% of the time for any subject - the only time I have used the other modes is to play around with them and see what happens :)

Do the people who claim to use 'M' 90% of the time sneak into Tv/Av mode and go...

"Mr Canon / Nikon , Your a half stop out, thank god I use manual or the shot would never have worked"

:p

I use Av mostly.

But also use M (mostly for work with external strobes or low light long exposures); I P when I require (mostly when using my hot shoe flash); occationally use Tv when speed is the key to creativity.

I've found Program mode useful using Nikons ITTL flash. It's scary accurate most of the time, and can be useful if I'm in a bit of an hurry. For the most part, I use P or S and let the camera/flash work out fill in for me.

For regular shooting, it depend what I need from the modes, and I use them accordingly. I don't have a favourite.

I use manual quite often when I use AI/AIS lenses.

no green square on my bodies.

either M, Av or Tv. pretty much depends upon what i'm doing. sits mostly on Av i'd guess.

Im a bit of P, mostly Tv and Av with a bit of M when Im feeling creative.
Green Square?:gag:

I've scratched off everything but M, Av and Tv from my dial so I couldn't set it to P even if i wanted to.

I shoot 50% M, 49.9% Av and 0.1% Tv.

I can;t understand why someone would shoot mostly Tv, it makes no sense to me, only ever use it for panning.

What green square.

When I were a lad there was no such thing as AV TV P.

We just used manual with a needle to guide us and t'all came out fine in'te end.
