Yes
I have just become a proud owner of a Holga 120n I have at present three rolls of film, Ilford Delta 400, HP5 400 and Porta 400 I'm in reality going to put it all through the camera but wondered what the differences in the two Ilford films are as regard the end look ?

Thanks all.

I have not used the films but from I have read the delta is finer grain and the hp5 is grainier.

My experience with both is that delta is fussier about correct exposure, hp5 seems to be less demanding, so I’d go with the hp5 first.

I tend to use HP5+ whenever I want a faster film, but go for delta 100 rather than FP4 for a slower one.

Delta is a t-grain film and HP5 has a traditional grain structure. I would say Delta has less visible grain and better tonality when well exposed, but lacks the character & deep deep blacks of HP5. A lot depends on the developer & processing too though. I'd agree with Colin and use the HP5 first with a holga.
