Ilford Artisan courses in Bradford

One day you'll have to go north of Watford Jim

I have been north of Watford before but I got a nose bleed. Quite frankly I get nervous heading north of the Thames!

(I actually have friends up in Leeds and am wondering if there is a way to engineer a visit and escape to the course without the wife wanting to kill/divorce me!)

Sounds like a cunning plan Baldrick.

I have to say this looks really interesting, the outdoor photography course particularly.

I can get to Bradford in an hour and a half, all I need now is a way of getting the money without being spotted.....Oh no, I forgot she watches my every move, go away woman this is private.

Take the risk man, what could possibly go wrong.....?

Interesting, i'm only 20 mins from there but the outdoor photography session doesn't seem to be in depth enough to get my £265 tbh, lot of money for not a great deal

The creative printing one looks good but i have all the books on the subject, so i might do better saving my money to spend on putting my own darkroom together and reading my books instead

BTW if anyone fancies it, I'll do another printing session like I did with Andy at some point in September when I'm back at uni :)

From memory Rob I think you'd probably be better off looking at Dave's own courses direct. He takes them (or at least used to) in his own darkroom and can pretty much tailor them to your own requirements. I'd be looking at going down that route I think instead iof these as they seem like they might not be so suitable if you already have the basic knowledge down

Hmm yeah, £265 seems a bit steep for 2 days too.
I suppose it depends how many there are on the course, I mean a class of 10 earns a tidy sum for 2 days and a hundred quids worth of materials..

(tight yorkshireman mode) £265 to wander around some parks in bradford with a borrowed camera and 2 rolls of HP5+ - foxtrot oscar (/tight yorkshireman mode)

(Profligate Cheshireman mode) after spending the day with Rob Hooley and getting a taste for devving/printing I think £265 is a pretty fair price for a couple of days learning the dark arts. (Profligate Cheshireman mode)

I'd do it for £50 :p
