For only the second time in my very long life I have just been to that damn place :bang: I went in a proud Mancunian, (yes, there is such a thing) vowing I would not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered, my life was my own.
Two hours later I came out a raving Scandinavian  A skint raving Scandinavian.:bonk:

It can be a bit like that! Luckily, our closest one (at the moment) is 100 or so miles away so we've only been a couple of times. Last time we almost had to leave the MiL behind since the bookcase we bought nearly needed both rear seat backs to be dropped! The small items we bought get used very regularly and I love the tubes of smoked salmon paste they do.

Yeah but did you get some meatballs :D
Well lush!

We go to ikea, have something to eat, a brew etc etc, then grab a trolley and head off into the unknown with great ideas.

About 2 hours later we always come out with ....

a glass. 50p

Sounds like us as well. Apart from We come out with loads of other stuff including the glass.

Same for us… meatballs are compulsory :D

Well, just started putting the stuff together (Stolmen modular wardrobe storage) I must say, for the money we paid it's amazing stuff! Its going together like an episode of the New Yankee Workshop. Will have to think twice before calling them again.

Well i'm moving hopefully next week ish so a trip to my nearest Ikea is planned for once i'm in.... looks like i best add meatballs to the list too:D

My wife and I went to the Bristol Ikea store just after it opened 'for a look around', I came out just under a grand lighter, thank God she was'nt in there buying, else it would have cost me a fortune.

The Bristol store is my nearest and Meatballs (with Lingonberry sauce) is now a must!

Hate the car park as I ended up in the Frenchay Hospital in March when hobbling through a dimly lit car park I tripped ovee the crutch I was using for my broken leg and knocked myself out! Staff were brilliany apparently. No free meatballs.

My other half keeps going on about wardrobes to die for... I nearly did!

I try not to have too much ikea but we do have a few billy bookcases. IKEA hacking is fun. I turned a bookcase into a bench with upholstered cushion for my porch. It has storage to hide shoes, umbrellas etc. there's lots of ikea hack ideas on Pinterest.

Oo that sounds like a good idea. I hate shoes being on show in the porch and we have nowhere else to put them. I might have a look at doing some ikea hacking :D

There area few good hacks. Just google and you'll find lots.
