Just having a play around with igoogle, looks a good concept. I overlooked this before but once you add your rss feeds it works well.

Could someone explain what the difference is between this and google reader? Is google reader solely for rss feeds?

igoogle is a combination of google apps - like a customised Start Page.

Google Reader is just for RSS.

Ok cool, did google reader automatically add loads of subscriptions for you when you first signed up?

This is mine at the mo, hardly touched anything...

Spot on... iGoogle is a start page which you can add apps to, such as weather, stock & news trackers, RSS readers or Twitter clients.

Google Reader is the main RSS reader and can handle lots of feeds (I've got about 30) and allows you to share pages you particularly like with other Google users.

Any chance you could post a screenshot, so I can get an idea how you have your google reeder layed out?

I have mine set up with folders for different subjects, Photography, Motorsport etc, I deleted all the Google suggested ones.

It's a great tool for keeping RSS feeds synced over multiple devices.

Need to try and organise it somehow, far to cluttered. Do you have your forums linked to google reader?

I minimized the top set of options as found thm unneseesary, but the rest is arranged much the same as mine, albeit with more feeds than mine.

I don't bother with forums or mainstream news sites, its pretty much all blogs, if I'm going to read less than say 75% of the posts I'll just visit the site.

Yeah can you customise the forums that you set up with your RSS reader? So I can just recived feeds from General/Talk Photography?

I think TP has different feeds for each forum, it's just a case of looking at the feed and testing.
